Magic Meadows Family Festival
Magic Meadows Festival is designed to bring families together through joyful, hands-on experiences in nature. Whether you're exploring our woodland wonderland, getting crafty in the tipi, dancing to live music, or unwinding in the wellness yurt, this is a one-day family festival is where imaginations run wild and precious family memories are made.
Get ready for an unforgettable experience packed with theatre, live music, dance, arts and crafts, creative writing, bushcraft, and more! Whether your little adventurer loves to craft their own nature-inspired masterpieces, or immerse themselves in magical performances, there's something for everyone - parents included!
Our magical family event is nestled in picturesque meadows and woodland right on London's doorstep, in the quaint village of Elstree, Hertfordshire.

2025 LINE UP
LIVE MUSIC
Nick Byrne will be performing on our woodland stage - blending poignant song-writing and thoughtful lyricism into a contemporary mix of indie-folk melancholia. Mahogany sessions, Fenne Lily, and Amazing Radio’s Frankie Francis (Frankie & The Heartstrings) have championed singles 'Houses' and 'Summer Rain, which have helped his music gain over 380k combined streams. Now backed by a live band the songs achieve an added dynamism to carry the songs even further.
ACM CAPOEIRA
Capoeira is an African Brazilian martial art that combines dance, music, acrobatics, and self-defence. Join our lively family workshop with ACM Capoeira to dive into the energetic world of Capoeira for all ages. Learn the basic steps and kicks of Capoeira, including cartwheels and handstands.
BUBBLES LA FAE
Bubbles La Fae will be running a Bubble Bonanza in the meadow, sharing her whimsical ways and special bubble magic. Catch her at midday for a bubble display of pure delight and fun, helping people to believe in magic again through the beautiful art of bubbles and her bubble-osophy of life.
ROAMING FAIRIES
The Tiny T’s Rainbow Fairies will be roaming throughout the meadow, creating spellbinding moments and providing magical photo ops for little people!
GARDEN GAMES
From old school games and challenges, the day will be filled to the brim with fun, fun, fun!
STORYTELLING
Writer, author and poet Alan Moss will be doing hourly readings from his recently-launched children's books, Silly Kids (featuring Clever Trevor and Unruly Julie). Join him for story time with hourly readings and daft poetry in the barn.
NATURE PLAY
Nestled in our enchanting woods is an exciting opportunity for children to experience nature and learn about the outdoors with the Herts Wildlife Trust with a pond making workshop and more!
FACE PAINTING
Starlight Boutique will be visiting At Home Farm with their pamper parlour offering eco festival glitter, face painting and festival hair styling. The perfect treat if you’re looking for something fun to do; available for all ages!
PAGES FARM
A lovely way to interact with friendly farm animals. Jump in the pen to cuddle and groom goats. A fun way to learn about animal care, behaviour and more.
DJ WORSHOP
Get ready to drop some beats! In this hands-on introduction to DJ’ing workshop, budding young DJs can learn the basics of mixing tunes on state of the art equipment.
OLD SKOOL RAVE
Get ready to get down for an old school rave in the woods - our headline spot for Magic Meadows. Bop along with the Hiphop Hooray crew to old school classics that will have parents and kids on their feet!
MOSIAC CLASS
Get hands on with a fun mosaic coaster making activity, upcycling old materials into something new and beautiful! Emmaus Hertfordshire is a local charity and social enterprise supporting people who have experienced homelessness by providing a home, meaningful work, and a sense of belonging.
BABY SENSORY
For the littlest ones, and their parents, in need of a chill out space, we’ve got you covered with an Under 3’s Sensory Tent. Come and find the tent decorated with foliage, flowers, and ribbons, and snuggle up with cushions, rugs, soft toys and blankets while you take some much needed time out.
STREET DANCE
This high-energy street dance session is packed with squats, turns, jumps and funky moves that’ll get kids moving, grooving and grinning from ear to ear.
GRAFFITI CLASS
Unleash your inner artist with this bold, hands-on session inspired by classic hip hop styles!
FOOD AND DRINK
Scrummy, locally-sourced, seasonal food will be on offer throughout the day & delicious beverages on tap at the bars in the main meadow and over at the woodland stage.
POTTERY
Join Sarah at Core Arts for hands-on clay drop-in sessions themed around the wonders of nature—perfect for the whole family! Get creative, make something special and take it home on the day.
THEATRE
Boggling Beasties! It's time to join our Dragon Training Experts from Tiny T's Theatre for a marvellous, magical experience for the whole family; learning how to teach our cheeky dragons to sit, stay and fly! The dragon training entertainment show includes storytelling , puppetry, songs, interactive play, dragon egg hunting and meet-and-greet with the dragons!
SOMETHING FOR THE ADULTS…
MASSAGES
The Inspirations Beauty team will be on hand with some soothing massages in the meadow. Melt away any stress or tension with a scalp & shoulder massage or mini back massage. Bookings are being taken now but we will also be taking walk ins on the day.
YOGA
Hosted in the SouLand Yoga Yurt, we will be running family friendly yoga classes throughout the day.
BEER TASTING
Go on a tasting journey through Small Beer’s low ABV beer selection. Head to their stand for two sampling opportunities throughout the day for a fun & interactive experience smelling and touching hops & malt - with a tipple for adults!
